TOURISM

Tourism is travel for recreation, leisure, religious, family or business purposes, usually for a limited duration. Tourism is commonly associated with international travel, but may also refer to travel to another place within the same country.

Definition of Tourism by Professional People:

 - According Soetomo (1994: 25) which is based on the provisions of Wata (World Association of Travel Agents = Association of Travel Agencies of the World), is a tourist trip around for more than three days, which was organized by a travel agency in the city and the event, among others, see  in various places or cities both at home and abroad.

- According to A.J. S. Burkart and Medical (1987) Tourism is the movement of people for a while and in the short term to objectives outside the place where they normally live and work and their activities during the stay in places that purpose.

- According Hunziger and Krapf of swiss in Grundriss Der Allgemeinen Femderverkehrslehre, said tourism is keserluruhan network and symptoms relating to the residence of foreigners in one place on the condition that the person is not doing an important job (Major Activity) that provide benefits that are permanent and temporary.

Conclusion : tourism is someone who is going somewhere in the country or abroad for the purpose of vacation or know the history of the place
